Georgia & Kendall got married at the Little Church Spring Hill. It was so beautiful, with Georgia being my best friends older sister–I felt like I was extended part of the family and loved capturing the moments unfold from the very beginning until the dance floor kicked off. You can see a glimpse of their wedding in 35mm film below!

There’s a moment I’ll never forget.
The sun was hanging low over the forest in Spring Hill. The ceremony had ended. The speeches were in full swing—half roasts, half love letters—and I slipped away for a second. Loaded a fresh roll into my point & shoot. Clicked the back shut. That sound alone? Instant calm.
Digital is sharp. It’s efficient. It’s safe. But 35mm? It breathes.
There’s something about film that slows everything down—me, you, time. I’m not firing off 100 shots. I’m watching. Waiting. Letting things unfold. And when they do—it’s magic. Not in the Hallmark way. In the real way. The quiet glance across the table. The sun flare. The blur of someone’s mum mid-dance, not caring who’s watching.
When the rolls develop, I remember being there. Capturing the moment. You could almost hear the music in the background, smell the food, taste the prosecco.
Here’s the thing about 35mm. It’s not trying to be polished. It’s not here to flatter. It’s here to feel. And if you’re someone who loves the weird, the wonderful, the way light hits a veil—film gets it.
I shoot digital too. It’s not one or the other. But if you’re reading this, I reckon you’re like me—you like the things with a little soul. Things that last because they weren’t trying too hard. That’s what film does. It tells the truth, with a bit of flair.
So if you’re planning something down here on the Peninsula, and you want the kind of photos that don’t just sit in a folder, they live in your kitchen, on the fridge, framed with a bit of crooked tape—maybe we should talk.
I bring the film. You bring the fun. Let’s make something worth printing.
Including film as part of our packages is something all our couples love—with the option to add as many rolls as you wish for $400 for 3 rolls of Kodak Portra (or a film stock of your choice)!
