It was truly an honour being asked to photograph the moments of Steph’s 40th at Cutler & Co last week. I documented Steph & Nick’s Wedding in 2019 at Airey’s Inlet – it was such an inspirational wedding and was featured in Hello May. Steph went all out for her epic 40th birthday luncheon. Hosted at Cutler & Co in Fitzroy, she indulged all her closest family & friends to a 3 course meal with cocktails and a divine cake to finish the celebrations. I was lucky enough to be their documenting the fun, and it was something I will cherish as I got to see all the people that I met at her wedding back in 2019. I felt right at home, welcomed and adored being there.

Being a part of private events is something I love! Not only are we welcomed into an incredible vibe, much like a wedding, but there are so many incredible fleeting moments waiting to be captured. Most of my clients adore the laidback and candid approach, as you will see in this gallery, there were close to none posed moments, aside from Steph & Nick with their family. I captured the afternoon in digital & 35mm, which is an added bonus for our event packages. I include 1 roll of 35mm film shot on the day, and the negatives are delivered digitally along with the final gallery within 2 weeks.

Cutler & Co was the perfect location to celebrate Steph, as it has seperate spots for canapes, and sit down dinner. The light it lets in is moody, flattering and stunning. Each room has a different feel to it, and it really is the perfect layout for a celebration that keep guests in the moment, with a lot of moments for deep chats. I really like the private booths, and the 2 long tables in the backroom. Speeches were just as classy, with Stephs brother collating notes from all of her closest friends. Steph & Nick welcomed everyone with a speech each, and it was so beautiful it made me realise how lucky I am to document weddings and events: especially this particular one as I have been a part of their love story since the wedding – a pinch me moment.
