I wanted to share what is currently inspiring me as a wedding photographer in Melbourne. I am currently listening to subliminal meditation (that is one of my productivity hacks btw!) at my local library because I felt like I needed a change from my home office space. A few random and whimsical things that have really inspired me recently, if I needed to list a few…
1. My own spirituality and manifestation process:
I am loving having some space and time to work on myself again. If you didn’t know, I have a 2.5 year old son and he takes up so much of my energy these days. When I have spare time, I am usually doing business tasks like editing photos, admin, marketing, website copy (this!). Tuning back into myself this year has been so good! I am loving getting to know my frequencies and specifically my Human Design.
2. Catching up with my fellow Wedding Vendors!
As I said above, this year I finally have more time and space to do things for me. One of those things is catching up with people in my industry that I genuinely love and adore. One of those people is Jackson Grant. He sent so many incredible couples my way recently, and I wanted to thank him for his generosity by taking him out for a cute dinner. We went to our fav: Rupert on Rupert in Collingwood for some pizza, pasta and wine. It was delightful and a reminder to always surround yourself with things and people you love. You can listen to him on my Podcast back in 2021 below & read more about our episode here.

3. Creating anything visual, is a must if you’re a create person
This is a little node to Human Design, and that is another blog post in itself. Human Design is massive and it has changed my life because I know what works best for myself individually when it comes to manifesting, learning and creating the life that I desire and want, it works for you spiritually, emotionally & physically. It’s something I want to release a workshop on in the future. Pinterest is a massive component of what I use to create inspirational moodboards for my personal and professional work. 4. Film Photography
I am so grateful to Isa & Mike for pushing me to shoot 35mm film on their wedding day in 2023! It was such a pivotal moment in my career as I now offer it in my wedding photography packages, and I love doing it alongside digital! I have even considered doing weddings only in analogue film (for the right couple). Do you like the look of film? I like it because it’s whimsical (hello, that’s my style!), it’s more int he moment, it’s real and not as perfect (I love the imperfections it brings out!). You can see some recent personal moments shot on film over the summer below. Scanned & Developed at Hillvale Photo.

5. Books that have recently inspired me
Something to finish off, some books that have recently inspired me. I am an avid reader of Fiction, Historical Fiction, Self Help or Biography. I also recently read my first fictional fantasy and loved that genre too! I read on my kindle or borrow from my local library as I don’t like buying books these days. I am currently reading & enjoying Elin Hilderbrands ‘5 Star Weekend’.
