Rupert on Rupert has been featured on my website and blog A LOT, and for a good reason. It’s such a great location, not only for it’s geography, but the lush backdrop of it’s ceremony spot, and the adjacent rooms for cocktail hour and your reception. Tasha & Jimmy opted to do a First Look, so they saw eachother before the ceremony, which enabled them to spend the maximum amount of time with their guests.
Tasha and Jimmy are so laidback and were so chilled in the lead up to it all. We met for dinner and had a giggle, I loved knowing their story and getting to know eachother personally before their special day. We have to bridge a gap and that happens organically before I walk into your day as your photographer. Over time, I have noticed the positive change it creates for our end result. On the day, we don’t even take portraits for long, but the moments we capture in the time are created because I aim to become your friend instead of just a wedding vendor. Tasha & Jimmy’s first look at their home. This suited them perfectly and it worked well because it wasn’t far from Rupert on Rupert. We spend some time with their bridal party at their house before heading across a couple suburbs down to Rupert. They got to enjoy some cocktails, soak in the venue before guests arrive, and we got to take portraits at the venue also! When couples opt for a First Look, I get really excited because I know from personal experience how enjoyable it is. You get to absorb and experience the day together a lot more, and if you aren’t in to traditions, it’s the best scenario to make your day stand out in your memory for years to come… plus all the added extra photos are a bonus!
