Bronwen & Frank got married in Orford Tasmania, and I was lucky enough to have been chosen to fly down from Melbourne and document the magic.
There were a lot of moments that were absolutely magical. For example, the light at their ceremony was humid, hot and strong. We all felt dizzy with happiness as they wed under the Australian bush trees that were blooming for them. The property at which they wed is Franks’ parents bushland. They purchased it to protect surrounding habitats and keep the community as eco friendly as possible. A lot of work went into the property to ensure the best outcome for their ceremony location.
A family friend married them, surrounded only by a select few close friends and family, approximately 25 guests. Franks brother sadly passed away a few years before the day, and on the lead up, a tree appeared just where they chose to create their aisle… I got goosebumps when they told me this story and when I was capturing it. Another moment that was magical that occurred was during the signing of the certificates, Frank & Bron along with their siblings posed for a photo and a ‘cheers’ with the backdrop of the mountains behind them. A special and significant bird flew past, and it was captured in the background of the image. Bron told me after they received their gallery that everyone was crying when they noticed this image, for this special bird represented Franks’ brother who was no longer with them.
I adore capturing weddings for many reasons, but the stories that I get to witness and document in a couples’ lives outweigh everything else. Are you planning a private property wedding?
