Jessie and I have been working on weddings together since I started doing wedding photography! Our first was a styled shoot at Tanglewood Estate in 2017. It was a magical early winters day, and Tanglewood Estate had just opened to Wedding Bookings. We found a great opportunity to create some content for all of our social media pages. It was one of the best collaborations I have been a part of, and I am so thankful it connected Jessie & myself. We realised that we had a very similar approach when it comes to working with our couples at weddings, in fact, we constantly get told we have the same energy and make couples feel warm and at ease.

There are a few notable weddings I have captured for Jessie, this one in particular went viral on instagram. With florals by the incredible Georgie Boy and at the lovely Gardens House at the Royal Botanic Gardens in Melbourne. It was a late summers day, the humidity in the air was something I remember. The flowers were gorgeous, greenery with white accent roses, orchids wrapped in foliage. Georgie Boy is an incredibly talented melbourne florist who I used to work with a lot through one of my closest floral friends: Cecilia Fox. I think this wedding epitomises Jessie’s wedding style, using natural tones, stones, surfaces, prints and fabrics. You can see some of the images from this wedding below. Here is a blog post of this wedding if you’d like to see more!

One of our last collaborations before covid and motherhood took over everything, the most beautiful shoot with one of my past couples: Tricia & Hieu. You can see their epic Rupert on Rupert Wedding here. They had a formal wedding ceremony in Melbourne but decided saying vows in front of everyone was daunting and not something they wanted to do. So, a year later, I reached out to them and asked if they wanted to do some personal vows for a styled shoot! It was such a hit and it was featured in issue 22 of @togetherjournal IN PRINT!
‘On a late December afternoon at Cape Schanck House, a 70’s inspired property on Victoria’s Mornington Peninsula, Tricia and Hieu stood hand in hand to exchange their hand written vows. They were originally married in 2019 in Melbourne, but never got a chance to declare their vows to each other. Plans to do so last year, at a celebration in Europe, we’re quashed because of the Covid-19 pandemic. At last, shaded by gentle tea trees, Tricia and Hieu exchanged vows in an intimate ceremony’. See some snippets of the shoot below:
